Sean Peter is a multi-award winning writer, composer, and director with more than thirty years’ experience across theatre, film, and television. A graduate of Southern Cross University (BA Contemporary Music) and AFTRS (Graduate Diploma in Screenwriting), he has built a career that combines music, storytelling, and technical expertise, with credits spanning Australia’s leading arts organisations, international productions, and major broadcasters.

Sean recently wrote, directed, and composed the feature musical Plan Bea, which was awarded Best Feature at the KIDS International Film Festival, nominated for Best Feature at the APRA/AGSC Screen Awards, and recognised at the Parai International Musical Awards. He was also a composer for Magic Beach (dir. Robert Connolly, Arena Media, MIFF).

In children’s entertainment, Sean has created music for Ready Set Dance (Nick Jr/10/Peacock+), which has grown into a global dance franchise, and nomination for Music Video of the Year at the MMMA Awards for When We Dance Together with Emma Memma. He arranged the current titles for the iconic ABC series Play School and contributed extensively as a composer and lyricist, in addition to creating music for Giggle and Hoot, Didi and B, and The Justine Clarke Show, which earned him an ARIA Award for Everywhere’s a Dance Floor. Collectively, his music has generated more than two billion YouTube views across Disney’s Talking Friends, Ready Set Dance, and other platforms.

His stage and live event work includes Dream Circus (Artists in Motion, Luna Park Sydney), The Quest to Find the Moon (Al Wasl Plaza, Dubai), World Expo 2020 Mascots (Dubai) A Very Musical Christmas, (MCG and ABC) and Jimmy Rees: Meanwhile in Australia (national tour and TV special).



As a sound designer and systems engineer, Sean has worked on productions including Hamilton, Moulin Rouge, Jagged Little Pill, King Kong, and Strictly Ballroom, contributing as keyboard programmer and technical consultant. His own musical Everything’s F**ked won an AWGIE Award and has been staged in Australia, the UK, and the Netherlands. His credits also include work for Belvoir, Sydney Theatre Company, Global Creatures, and Hayes Theatre, as well as commissions for Sydney Opera House and Expo 2020 Dubai.

Sean combines creative versatility with deep technical knowledge, delivering music and sound that enhance storytelling across screen, stage, and live performance. He continues to develop new projects for international audiences, uniting narrative, composition, and innovation in every medium.
